Preparation... The hull is sandblasted (hence the appearance of sitting on a beach) and painted with primer. The rudder top flange, that was on the verge of dropping off and destroying the propeller if it chose to do so when under way, is cut off. The pitting is still very evident under the primer. The propeller and shaft are removed. |

Epoxying... The overplating and anodes are welded into position before two layers of epoxy coating and a layer of gloss paint are applied. The rudder top flange and the propeller and shaft are replaced. |
